7 Awesome Ways to Be Bold, Get Noticed and Blow People Away

be bold

We live in a world where we seek to be extraordinary. We want to be at the top, on stage or in first place.  Not only do we feel entitled to all good things, we are impatient if we have to wait.

We are a society desperate for recognition and repulsed by anything less.

The world becomes a better place when we realize that we’re all here for the same reason. We're all here to learn how to be more loving.

When we recognize our purpose, we see that we all have the same value. Fame, status or being first really doesn’t mean much at all.

Who you are in life becomes more important than where you are. Last weekend I attended the “Celebrate Your Life” conference. Nearly all of the speakers were famous Hay House authors.

It felt good to be in a loving environment where everyone expressed and felt their best.  It’s easy for me to be a loving person when I’m not being challenged.

The real value of the conference comes from putting into practice the knowledge I have gained in everyday life.

In any given situation, how we are says a lot about who we are.

How to be bold, get noticed and blow people away in ordinary ways:

Own your greatness. You are here to use your gifts and talents to increase the love in the world.  Once you can live from your own greatness and a place of love, you can recognize the greatness and love in others. There is less separation and more unity. There is more boldness and less fear.

Make others feel important. Listen and encourage others to talk more. Show interest in another’s life. Look for qualities you admire. Be the first one to smile, apologize, help or forgive. We all want the same things in life: to love, be loved and know that we matter.  Give what you wish to receive.

Practice appreciation. Praise equals power. Shower your co-workers, family and friends with kind words. Look for ways to offer simple compliments. Send hand-written thank you notes. Make others feel like they’re first class. Ask yourself, “What can I do today to make others feel appreciated?”

Be unusual. Do things that make you stand out. Be courageous. Give others the benefit of the doubt. Stay positive in the midst of negativity. Be calm in the midst of a storm. Become an early riser. Do what it takes to meet new and interesting people. Then go the extra mile for them.

Be willing to see things differently. Give up the need to be right. Let go of needing to have the last word.  Learn to shift your perspective. Practice being open-minded.  Have an open heart and come from a place of compassion. The Universe will reward you for it.

Live with integrity. Keep your commitments. Show up. Tell the truth. Be kind. Learn to serve. We live in a world of entitlement and undefined values. Make sure to create values in your own life and stand by them. Others will notice.

Act upon your ideas. Make action a habit. Don’t wait until things are just right. There is never a perfect time to begin. There is only now. Expect that things will be difficult. Know that there will be setbacks. Remember how strong you are. Expect to succeed anyway. When you take action fear fades and confidence rises.

Let go of the past. Nobody owes you anything. Learn to remember what people have done for you and forget what you have done for others. Throw out your score card. Life isn’t fair. Some people will help you and others will hurt you. Remember the positive things about your past. Let the rest go. Every bit of it. Forever.

I’m always amazed by how letting go of the past helps us leapfrog ahead.

I love the idea of leapfrogging ahead. I’m all in for that! Thanks for stopping by!

I so agree with this, Tess: When we know our true purpose, “Fame, status or being first really doesn’t mean much at all.” At the same time, I love the suggestion of being unusual and doing something that makes you stand out. I’ll have to put my thinking cap on for that one!

It is so true that it is easy to be a loving person when you are not being challenged.

Act upon your ideas is the challenging one for me and I suspect a lot of other people. I was just watching a clip from Dan Sullivan where he says people feel they need to be 100% ready before they start. One is trapped in the cycle of “getting ready to get ready to get ready”.

      Hi Wendy,
Oh isn’t that the truth…the cycle of getting ready to get ready. It’s almost funny! Thanks for sharing that!

“Act upon your ideas” – Love this and it is so true! I consider myself more of an “idea” person sometimes, and am constantly pushing myself with the follow through. Great post!
