Life has no smooth road for any of us and in the bracing atmosphere of a high aim the very roughness stimulates the climber to steadier steps, till the legend, over steep ways to the stars, fulfills itself. ~ W. C. Doane
Being stuck is uncomfortable. It's not a pretty scene. There is a tendency to fight it with worry, fear, and impatience.
You may want to deny it and attempt to get unstuck as soon as possible. Doing so, will sink you deeper into the muck and mud of your tired and stale thoughts and emotions.
The more you resist being stuck, the more stuck you become.
In the past few weeks I've become unstuck. In order to get there, I let go of extra projects and work.
I took time out to get clear and honest with where I've been and where I'm going.
I'm back in the flow and reunited with my creativity, magic, and genius.
I'm ready to move forward, refreshed and energized. I'm ready to do great things.
Read on to discover what you can do to become unstuck, clear your mind and set yourself free.
Embrace your now. Accept the place that you are in. Make peace with it. Breathe in the present moment and breathe out any staleness. Know that there is nothing to fear. This temporary condition will lead to your next step. Be willing to remain open and learn from it.
Restore your energy. Don't fight it. Spend time outside. Breathe in the sights and sounds of nature. Revel in fresh air. Allow the sun, wind, or rain to take you away from your problems. Nature will never disappoint you. Never.
Do something with your hands. Set your intention to play and have fun. Draw, paint, carve, knit, cook, sew or sculpt. Use your imagination and create something you normally wouldn't.
Think less not more. Listen to your favorite music and sing at the top of your lungs. Watch an old movie and put yourself into another time and space. Lose track of yourself and your issues.
Write out your problem. Release it in your journal, write out the details, express your anger and frustration. Then tell your problem or situation that you'll get back to it next Tuesday. You have now made space for the solution to unfold.
Get physical. Go for a run, work out at the gym, take a hike. Move, walk, run, jump. Sweat out your issues and stress. You'll release endorphins that will take you to a better place. I've never felt better after a good work out.
Create distance. Imagine that you are above your situation floating on a cloud. Look down and examine it from all angles. Notice how you are not attached to being stuck. Continue to float. As for guidance. Be open another perspective, be willing to do things differently.
Get honest. Go within. What's really bothering you? What's really weighing you down? Is it a relationship, an addiction, or lack of motivation? What steps are necessary to go forward? Be fearlessly honest with yourself. Create a different future.
Surrender. Let go of unfairness, being a victim, and comparing yourself to others. Let go of resentment and blame. Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Forgive the world. Drop your story. Drop your baggage.
Think about what's right with your life. Focus on the good. What did you get right today? What went right? Express gratitude. Repeat this routine daily. Your solution will find you. You'll feel alive again.
Uplevel your life. Fall in love with yourself. Change what isn't working. Step by step create a better reality. Take action. Give yourself permission to shine. Own your greatness. Savor all of life. Now is the time. Flow never felt so good!
