I married when I was 17 and pregnant. I was mom to four daughters by 22 years of age. I lacked the information, support, and direction I needed to experience motherhood joyfully.
I know that's the reason I'm so crazy about Dusti Arab and her phenomenal project and soon to be book,
Rebel Mama: How to Raise Your Kids Without Losing Yourself. It's part-memoir and part-parenting guide for unconventional moms. It's currently a project on Kickstarter.
Enjoy my first video interview below.
I pledged $25 to Dusti's project and will be giving away a free copy of her book after it's published. Check out the beautiful video and learn how to support Dusti, here.

Hi Tess and Dusti,
What a wonderful support for moms who are “outside the norm.” Motherhood can be a daunting situation and this kind of help is so needed. I was a single mom for while and you can feel isolated and alone when you are not part of the typical family situation. Thanks for sharing Dusti’s project.
