You're Invited: To Change the World

Life is good.

I have more than enough of everything I need.

Way more than I ever thought possible.

I can fall down on my knees with gratitude and appreciation and it wouldn’t be enough.

I feel like I have to DO something. Help others.

Get involved. Roll up my sleeves.

Share my compassion and love for people who are hurting.

Who? Who’s hurting?

The people of Joplin, Missouri.

People like me. Except I have everything and they’ve lost everything.

Gut wrenching, world-turned-up-side-down and inside-out pain.

We have to do something.

My friend Lance and I…we’ve got a plan but it’s too big for us.

Gotta get others involved.  Gotta ask my Bold Life Tribe.

The invitation:

Lance Ekum, from Jungle of Life, and I want to invite you to join us, as we raise money to support the families of Joplin, Missouri, through donations to The American Red Cross located there.

We have found a way, where we can together, be a part of rebuilding this community and the families suffering from unconceivable loss.

FYI: We aren’t looking for any financial support!

However, we do need your help!

Project:

We are creating an e-book, a compilation of favorite posts, from bloggers, like you. The e-book will be made available to everyone, for a donation. 100% of the donation will go directly to the American Red Cross.

Favorite Posts Needed:

Please consider helping us make this project a success!

What We Need:

Your commitment, below, to join us.  Once we’ve collected our list of contributors we’ll be sending out specific information on how you can submit your favorite post to us, for inclusion into the e-book.

That’s it!

Within the next 2 – 3 weeks, we’ll have the e-book created.  Note that there is no obligation for you to buy one of the e-books.  If, however, you do choose to – know that all the proceeds will go to support the rebuilding on Joplin.  We'll be selling the e-books for a suggested donation of $5.

Thank you for all your support, not only with this, but for all that you do.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact either Lance or myself.

So proud of you dear Tess. when I read that you and Lance were doing this I was just so touched. It totally matches your beautiful generous heart. You are so genuinely caring and warm. I so admire your spirit and gumption, as well as your enthusiasm. This is a wonderful wonderful thing to do in the world. Bless you for being you dear Tess. I am just grateful that I know you. Much love, Roby

  • Robin Easton June 16, 2011, 6:56 am

Dear Tess, I know I already left a comment, but I just out in my garden and wanted you to know that I can’t stop thinking about (and feeling) your beautiful heart, and how deeply you care. At some point when my life is not so fast paced, I hope to sit or hike with you. I think to sit in your presence would be so grounding, healing and just ABSOLUTELY inspiring. I just love you. Roby

  • Tess June 16, 2011, 10:12 am

    Robin,
There’s no doubt I care deeply Robin, no doubt to those who know me. I will sit and hike anytime and I can come to you! And maybe know would be better … why wait to be grounded, centered and healed. Our laughter together would heal anything within 100 miles! LOL

  • Belinda June 19, 2011, 8:51 am

I’m so sad that I might’ve missed the cut off for this, Tess. What a fantastic idea for you and Lance. Would love to participate if it’s not too late.
