"Faith is putting all of your eggs in God's basket, then
counting your blessings before they hatch." -Ramona C. Caroll

7914 E Oak St, Scottsdale, Arizona real estate

We sold our home two months ago with the intention of finding another in the city, closer to hub's work, the airport, hiking trails and more;)

We first thought we'd like a condo but soon decided against one due to monthly HOA fees and all that goes with them.

Instead we chose to purchase another home. We love Arizona so much we see this as our last move. However I'm always open to change, unimaginable gifts, abundant blessings and unlimited opportunities, so one never knows!

We were determined to stay within our budget and find a home that fit our lifestyle. After four weeks we finally accomplished what we set out to do.

I haven't been commenting or writing as much as usual due to this and a few other changes in my life. I appreciate your patience and will return to my normal schedule of commenting and posting in a few weeks with even more gusto, encouragement and passion for living a bold life.

All the hours previously spend commuting to the city, airport, hiking trails, etc will be spent improving my online presence and methods of serving you. I thank each one of you for your support and presence in my life. I am truly grateful! xo

I was tempted to buy into a program that a certain guru was selling a couple of weeks ago. My ego was convinced I needed it…

I contacted my friend Evita at Evolving Beings and asked her what she thought of such promotions. She told me her marketing is plan is different than most. She believes if she has the right energy and speaks her Truth the right people will come to her. (paraphrased)

I only needed to be reminded of this and I hit the delete button. The guru's know how to suck us in with their slick temptations. "There are only so many spots left. There is only so much time."

My heart and Higher Self know this marketing isn't the Truth. I believe I have everything I need today in this moment. I don't have to do anything in fear. I am safe.

My friend Joy at Unfolding Your Path reminds us, "To open our heart to all that is already there. Answers waiting to be heard, blessings waiting to be embraced, signs waiting to be seen. They are all there. We don't have to struggle, resist, manipulate…just allow.

Jan from "Awake is Good" leaves on Joy's blog, "One step, one layer of peeling back at a time. This is perhaps one of the things I love the most about the Sacred ~ an innate intelligence that “knows” just what we need when ~ and the tools and resources are provided for us to navigate ~ if we know how to listen and trust.

My problem is when I'm coming from fear I'm not willing to listen and trust. And that's where many of us get hooked into to slick marketing.

Because of my wonderful blogging community I don't have to get sucked in. My friends are there to support me!

Simon from Simon Hay,states, "I want to attract clients with honest and simplicity. That speaks to me as Truth! There is no "now or never, today only or you can't get this information anywhere else."

I would only add love to the invitation.

What Simon is talking about is "Vibrational Marketing."

With Vibrational Marketing there is no need for slick packaging, hype, hooking or robbing people. There is no "Secret!"

Vibrational Marketing is about attraction not promotion. It's about joining with others, it's beyond personalities.

It's wanting the best for me and the best for you. We are one.

I want friends and clients to come to me through love, simplicity and honesty not strategizing, hype, planning and figuring things out, not doing things….but doing things differently.

Daily the intention I set every morning is to be loving. It's the first think on my to-do-list. When I do this all else flows. When I forget I get sucked in to the chocolate dangling on the stick (carrots won't do)!

What my friends remind me of are the following.

1) I am enough. I have enough. I do enough.

2) I only need to live in a consciousness of love and all is well.

3) When I live from a loving state I become irresistible and the right people will find me.

4) There is nothing to fear.

5) I only need to focus on the Truth.

6) I only need to join with you.

7) No matter what happens I only need to focus on my intention.

8) My mental and spiritual activity is what draws you to me.

The way we have been living isn't working for us anymore. We are in the process of creating a new way of being and living.

I believe in next stage this is the only marketing we need. How about you?

If this resonates with you, I invite you to be part of my tribe, sign up for my RSS feed, I want to join with you on a loving and collaborative adventure!

Helping people accomplish happiness in their careers is the best job in the world. I worked with a photographer who was amazing, but didn’t know how to build relationships to further his career.

After two coaching sessions I had him taking his online and offline brand in a new direction. Within 2 months he was connecting with people that needed his talents, but would have never known about him. It’s an amazing experience working with such talented people. They just need to tweak their focus so they can optimize their business.

For the first 10 years of my career work felt like a struggle. I knew that I was dealing the wrong way with my career, but didn’t know how to fix it. I thought I deserved success for just being smart.

Today our guest is Karl, an amazing and passionate career coach, and personal friend from Work Happy Now.

For me what stands out about Karl and his work are his qualities (super powers!) authenticity, honesty and integrity. These same qualities spill over into his family life and friendships as well.

On his blog Karl gives tips, advice and stories that help any employee or CEO improve their work environment.

Working Happy

What makes you so passionate about helping others become happier at work?

Being happy at work increases creativity, improves friendships and builds confidence. Need I say more? Ok I guess I will. Don’t want the interview to end after two sentences. 🙂

Any career worth loving doesn’t work that way. As I developed myself I realized that happiness was at the core of my success. Whenever I enjoyed my work I did a great job. Whenever I hated my job my work suffered.

So I began to develop my internal foundation, which built my confidence and improved my creativity. My results improved dramatically. As most businesses start an individual sees pain and wants to help people overcome that pain. That’s why I dedicated my life to helping people develop their superpowers.

The Bold Life:

Karl the gift you have and the work you're doing has a significant effect on our world. When we're happy and satisfied with our work we have a contagious energy that spreads to those around us and uplifts them as well.

Tell us about your superpower coaching? Why should I hire you?

We need to build our strengths and passions to develop our superpowers. Superpowers happen naturally. No one can force a superpower.

I have tried to design ebooks, banners, or websites, but everything always turned out average. I just don’t have the design gene in my body. I realize this so I hire other people who have this superpower.

People hire me because they want to optimize their creativity to create a career that makes them happy or improve their career to become happier. They want to learn how to break through their mental blocks to improve their results. That’s my superpower.

The Bold LIfe:

A few years ago I was doing work I wasn't passionate about and I knew I couldn't keep going. I hired a coach and got clarity on a different direction. I wish I had known you then!

With the super power coaching you offer no one can use the excuse to stay stuck today and unhappy today. The world needs the gifts we all have to offer. We can't not afford to move ahead…super charged!

What is more important inspiration or motivation?

Both inspiration and motivation are basically the same kind of internal energy. It’s the chicken or the egg scenario. I think curiosity sparks inspiration which in turn sparks motivation. We can’t have motivation without inspiration.

I had a friend who felt inspired to adopt a child because they attended a party where another couple had adopted a baby from Guatemala. This inspiration created 2 years of motivation. It’s a lot of work to adapt a child. There is paperwork, money deposited, interviews, more paper work, waiting, more waiting, more money, flying to the location to meet the child, more waiting, flying back to pick up the child. Finally happiness.

They went through this because they believed that their hard work would all be worth it.

Isn’t that what we all hope for – at the end of each day our hard work will all be worth it?

The Bold Life:

Karl that's a wonderful story! I hold a special space in my heart for adoptive parents. My daughter planned adoption years back and in the end we all learned how to love on a deeper level. A difference was made in all of our lives.

Yes! we all want our hard work to have meaning and make a difference.

Tell us about your “superpowers” that make you a great dad and husband?

It’s funny that you ask this. Just last night my wife was about to put on a shirt my mom gave her as a present. I told her to wait and wear it tomorrow when she goes to pick up my parents at the airport. She smiled and joked that my superpower is finding ways to make other people happy. 🙂 My mom will see the shirt and feel a little extra love toward my wife.

My wife is happy because she made my mom happy, which makes me happy. Win, win, win.

The Bold Life:

Wise Karl! Very wise. I'm sure you mom will have a huge smile on her face when she recognizes the shirt! You have a way of making people feel special.

Tell us about one of your favorite clients?

I have too many to list. Every time I give a Superpowers Coaching Session I learn something myself. That’s why I do what I do. I grow too.

We all need to continue to grow in every phase of our career. If a person isn’t growing they aren’t adding new skills. It’s this flat line that hurts creativity. We must avoid this flat line at all costs.

The Bold Life:

I agree with you! I think we grow as much or more than our clients because they gift us as well. Is a benefit you don't know anything about until it happens;)

Why do you believe creativity is so important?

Being creative is vital to a happy career. I will never be convinced otherwise. A car mechanic needs new problems to improve herself. That’s what creativity does within a career that only creativity can do. It forces us to learn about who we are.

When we learn about who we are we add skills and gain deeper understanding of our passions. This is where your foundation is built. The more you develop your skills and clearer your passions become, which strengthens your superpowers.

It’s this knowledge that will leverage your happiness. You can then pick your clients and teach other people to do work that you don’t enjoy doing, so you are free to do what you love.

The Bold LIfe:

Brilliant Karl…brilliant!

How does career jealousy play a role in career happiness?

A career should never be compared to other people’s careers. We must measure our progress against ourselves and not other people. This is hard to do because we see a friend at work get a raise or another business’ sales sky rocket. We try to copy these tactics and they don’t work.

We can’t copy what other people are doing because it doesn’t align with who we are. It comes back to our superpowers. If we are great with talking to people and finding out their pain points then we need to maximize this skill.

We can’t copy someone else’s website sales copy because it works for them. The main reason this doesn’t work is because we attract the type of people that would buy our competitor’s products not ours. We need to write from our perspective so we entice the people that want what we offer.

The Bold Life:

I encourage anyone who has feelings of jealousy to take the same energy and co-create or partner with others. Often times we are only seeing our own untapped potential when we become jealous of another's work or success.

Believe me I've had lots of experience! LOL

Do career intentions work?

Many people ask me about manifesting career intentions. They ask me if they can just visualize what they want and manifest a career of their dreams.

Yes and no.

We all need to visualize what we want. We all can do this very easy. Where most people drop off and give up is breaking the dream into small parts and taking action.

This is where you can gain leverage. If you can break a dream into small enough parts and slowly build your superpowers, you can make almost any career a reality.

To get started on using the law of intention to develop a career that you bring you fulfillment you can make a career board. Thumb through a magazines or search on Google images and print out pictures of what you want your career to provide. Do you want excitement? Cut out someone traveling for work. Do you want to start your own company? Cut out what this business would look like. Then for each picture break down how you are going to achieve this dream.

Then before you start to chip away at the dream remember why you are doing this action. If you can’t muster up the desire to work toward this goal then either fear is getting in the way or this goal didn’t matter as much as you thought it did.

The Bold Life:

I think it's important to state if you are aware of and have developed your super powers it will help your path will be smoother and success will happen sooner.

It’s tempting to make New Year Resolutions without reflecting on 2008. I invite you to think about the past year and acknowledge your accomplishments. It will get you excited and increase your faith in your goals for the future.

It is also important to look at the impact you have had on others and the world this year. How have you made life better for yourself and others? Whose life has improved because you were there? Take the time needed to really appreciate and honor yourself.

Do you acknowledge and appreciate small daily accomplishments? Have you given yourself a pat-on-the-back for the kindness you’ve shown or the relationships you’ve healed? Do you appreciate yourself for taking time to help a neighbor, to care for aging parents, for being a good parent or for learning something new?

Learn to offer yourself praise and appreciation. Learn to celebrate your successes. Give yourself the love and recognition you want from others. Take the feelings of accomplishment and success into 2009 and remember life is waiting for you. Make it a great new year!

My friend Colleen gave me this tool called, “The Year Review.” She has allowed me to share it with you. There is one set of questions. Answer the questions for 2008. Then take the same questions and answer them how you want 2009 to unfold. It’s a great method that will help you review the past and ring in the New Year.

Year Review-Preview

Review: Today’s Date_________________
Preveiw: One Year from Today’s Date_________________

  1. If you could give 2008 a name what would it be?
  2. If there is a symbol that represents 2008 that would capture its essence, what would it be?
  3. If you could give yourself a name that symbolizes you in 2008 what name would you give yourself?
  4. Name the people who made a difference in your life. Whom do you appreciate and why?
  5. What gifts have you received this year? (This could be tangible like your income, a favor or emotional support.)
  6. What gifts have you given others this year? (tangible or not)
  7. How did your relationships grow, change or end? What did you learn?
  8. What journeys have you taken? (inner and outer experiences i.e. a new baby, a vacation, a new job)
  9. Where did you derive your sense of well-being, health  and knowledge? What helped you feel good about yourself?
  10. What goals did you achieve and what do you need to celebrate?
  11. For Review-What and who did you grieve this year and where are you in the process? Preview-What empowers your mission and enhances your dream?
  12. Passages, changes and initiations: What has changed? What is new? What happened? How are you different because of it?
  13. Where did you find joy?
  14. What would be the sound track/song that represents your life in 2008?
  15. In what context did you feel more authentically alive?
  16. Free-To-Be the change you wish to see in the world: summarize from the inside out how are you “being” with yourself, and others in the relationship to the world?

Next take the same questions and answer them with how you would like 2009 to unfold. Your life is what you make it, with this exercise you will have a better idea of what you want to make of the brand new 365 days ahead. I hope this exercise helps you live the dream that resides in your heart.  You can find Colleen Snow at www.BeTheChangeWorld.com.

Fear can overpowerl your mind, confidence and your life if you allow it. How much of your day do you find yourself in fear and worry about your future or the future of our world? We have been jolted out of our comfort zone by the events happening in the world today. As a life coach I teach clients how to deal with their fears and continue to live with passion and purpose.

Fear Is Normal.  We are all afraid. On the top of our lists today is the fear we have for our future, our jobs and our families. As if this isn’t enough We are afraid of getting too closeto others and losing them. We are afraid that we will hurt someone or someone will hurt us. We are afraid of not knowing anything and knowing too much. We fear losing control and being too controlling. We fear good things won’t happen and bad things will. We are afraid of being alone and not being by ourselves enough.

We are afraid of who we are and who we could be. We fear change and we fear not changing. We fear what we know and we fear the unknown. WE fear failing and we fear succeeding. These are universal fears.

Fear has a purpose; it keeps you from doing crazy things and prevents you from acting irrationally. Fear gives you time to thing before you act. Being in touch with your fears is part of being in touch with who you are. It is healthy to admit you are afraid, worried or anxious. To do so requires strength. When  you express worries and anxieties they lose their power. You will never get rid of fear. However you can learn to starve your fears with trust, confidence and courage.

Allow Nothing To Stand In Your Way.  If we are going to live up to our full potential and fulfill our life purpose we have no choice but to work through fear. We do not reach our potential by playing it safe. If you are alive you have fears. It is what you do with them and how you handle them that makes all the difference in the world. When you are afraid, ask yourself, “Who will do this if I don’t?”

The best advice in the world is to keep your attention on what is going right in your life and the joy of living. Refuse to live a life of quiet desperation. Take time to recognize your talent, gifts and blessings. Then stand tall and strong like a lighthouse and shine your love and light so others can find their way. Be committed to expressing your greatness!

Lighten Up A Laugh. Laughter is an enemy of depression, fear and anger. You can judge the health of a family or workplace by how much laughter takes place.

Focus On Success. Make a list of everything you have succeeded at in your life. Hang it somewhere you can see it for the times you doubt yourself. Think of all the difficulties you have come through. Reflect on other tough times and how you made it through them.

Get Creative. Draw or paint your fear. Dialogue with your fear. Ask with your dominant hand, “Fear, what are you here to teach me?” Answer with your non-dominant hand. Continue dialoguing until you feel at peace.

Listen To Music.Music is healing. Clasical music can reduce stress. Rock gives you energy. Chanting brings you into a meditative state. Children’s music makes your heart smile. Joahan Paul Friedrich Richter said, “Music is the moonlight in the gloomy night of life.”

Delay Fear. Live the next seven days without fear. When a fear comes up jot it town in a notebook or journal and tell the fear you will get back to it later.

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff.  Let fo of life being perfect. Learn to roll with the punches. Read the cartoons and watch comedy. Put balance in your life. A mantra I use when a fear pops up (especially when it’s something our of my control) is “Oh well, so what!”

Stop reading and listening to the news. If you aren’t willing to do this completely cut the time you do it in half. Don’t worry you won’t miss a thing. Someone will tell you about anything major changes. A news fast relieves me of anxiety, doubt and fear. It allows me time to do what’s really important with a laser focus.

Take Action. What bold steps can you take today? Turn your fearful energy into action steps. If you want to live the bold life there it’s necessary to embrace your fears and move on.
