The Boldest Speaker Ever: Pass It On

by Tess on April 15, 2009

Warning! My blog will challenge you to be more, give more, live fearlessly, take more chances and show up in the world unstoppable, daring and bold.

In the past I’ve worked as a professional speaker.  On the outside it looks like a glorious job and in many ways it is. You travel, you’re  the center of attention, you get paid well. If you’re good people want to meet you and buy your products.

Speakers spend 90% of their time marketing themselves and only 10% speaking. A mentor once warned me to keep my ego in check by “never believing my own hype.”

Today I want to help put a speaker in the spotlight who has a message, a big message. No hype involved. His name is Nick Vujicic.

If you have children gather them around and have them watch it as well.

Support Nick by purchasing his products at www.LifeWithoutLimbs.org

I think you hit the nail on the head in your introduction - why he is SO appealing. Nick does have a BIG message and he delivers with zero hype I’ll be he doesn’t have to spend 90% of his time marketing his speaking services.

Have I heard the words he says before? Of course I have!!! However, when Nick speaks them - somehow they are richer - dare I say - BOLDER!

    Thanks for sharing this!

    Hi Tess!

I was introduced to Nick’s website a few months ago and have been in awe ever since! I wrote him and told him my story (being born with abnormalities) and he (well, someone on his behalf) wrote me back!!

    He’s Awesome!!!

Tess, you have clever ways of inviting your readers to rediscover the hidden creative potential within themselves. To reconnect with the Source of energy within is like a breath of fresh air. This enables you to awaken to new reasons to enrich the world and your true self.

    Tess,

I saw this video a while back and it made me cry. It’s a good wake up call for those of us who think we’re good speakers, or that speaking is a profession. For Nick, speaking is a vocation. Thanks for this.

Just like Daphne, it made me cry too. I don’t know if I would ever have the courage to face life the way he does. I have all my limbs, but I don’t have half his energy and personality. Inspiring!

Some people, like Nick just “got it.” And what a wonderful gift for him to share it with us all.

Definitely brought “rears” to my eyes. :)
