Tess, I came over from Angela’s blog after I read your beautiful comment there on the post about Emotional drowning. I could almost smell the petunias and the pansies. I lost my mother a year ago – I felt the exact same thing on my birthday – when I realized that not only was it the first time she wasn’t around, but would never be. At home, we all do the things we perceive she would have been happy about, and that somehow makes us feel collectively better.

Well – As a subscriber, I already enjoy the wonderful wisdom you share. Just thought I would thank you for the introduction to all the lovely people here.

Hi Joyce,
it’s been said the quickest way to get what you want is to help others. I think the trap is expecting the same people to return a favor. We never know where are good will come from. I like to drop judgment and be surprised. Sometimes it’s not easy. I feel good helping others period.

I think that there is a ton of love being shown and shared in this world; it just doesn’t always show up in the media. And what really inspires me is when people like you are so moved and respond by taking action. Reading or watching isn’t enough. Feeling good after hearing a wonderful story isn’t enough. It’s when we let that spark in our hearts move us and lead us to share love through action that can and will change the world for the better. Thank you, Tess.
