Creative Juices and Blogging Superstars

I've not been feeling well for the last 10 days. Instead of pushing myself forward I've been sleeping, laying or sitting around doing nothing. It's a good thing.

Know why? Because it allowed me to "just be," which led to daydreaming, which led to creativity! I'll sum that up: Be, Dream, Create. I just noticed "Do" is missing and has been replaced by create. Big insight!

When good ideas came…I wrote them down in my journal. I now have several for some juicy posting.

I also had an insight and decided to change my tagline. I'm currently refining my ideas. This was not planned!

I still not my 100% vibrant-hyper-self so I'm only allowing myself to write this post and a bit of commenting today.

Blogging Superstars

One thing I allowed myself to do was write a book review for Naked in Eden: My Adventure and Awakening in the Australian Rainforest by Robin Easton. It took me three days, I only eeked out a few paragraphs but I am happy with it. The book is a must read…can't say that enough.

Several years ago I was in a Mastermind group that was trying to get off the ground. It failed because the three of us were in transition and the timing wasn't right.

A week ago my friend Barb sent me the progress of Lorelie, the other woman in that group. What she has accomplished is mind-blowing.

Her blog is Verbal Remedies, this link leads to her Ted Talk, Crazy Ideas that Change the World! Check it out and while you're there note her "Pledge of Allegiance to the Earth" poster on the right side bar!

After reading what she has accomplished I'm reminded of Dr. Seuss and his book, The Places You'll Go!

Jean, from Virgin Blogging Notes has a guest today who wrote a short and fresh post, "Don't Let Your Blogging Boat Sink." Jean will be my guest on Monday, you won't want to miss it!

Farnoosh, from Prolific Living had a "favorite movie contest" and today announces the winners and the 30 Best Films chosen by her peeps.

I wish I had this list before getting sick! However I'm not sure I'd be overflowing with my juiced up creativity.

Hubs and I will dive into to one or two this weekend as I continue to lay low. I plan on watching even the ones I've previously seen.

Danielle Laporte, from White Hot Truth is in a league of her own with her writing and creative style. Her post today is called, Initiated Women. She is truly which I'd credit to her success.

A few weeks ago I came across Maralisa's 525 Ideas for Your Bucket List. I got right on this and began a hot, fresh and revised list.

A couple of days ago daughter No. 2 called me and said she found tickets to New Zealand selling for $425. Once purchased they have to be used by November 30.

I proceeded to tell her how busy I am and can't possibly fit that trip in. She stated, "Mom, if you and dad don't go now you'll probably never go!"

I hung up the phone mad at her for saying that and mad at myself because it's probably true!

Katie Tallo, from Momentum Gathering is a whiz with metaphors. Check out "How to Launch Your Own Mutiny & Toss That Unhealthy Self Overboard." I'm telling you, a real whiz!

Karl, from Work Happy Now has been coaching me to Discover and Leverage My Hidden Superpowers. I've found him to be fresh, amazing and insightful. He's helped me relaunch my speaking career. I've moved from taking penguin steps forward to risking and leaping forward.

If you want to leap instead of crawl through the last 100 days or so of this year I'd suggest giving Karl a call. You'll have a head start come January 1st!

About that New Zealand trip? Not going…I have 3 speaking and blogging related trips planned between now and November 11th. (Thanks Karl)

If you know an association, a business, a women's group, a retreat or spa that is looking for a Rockin'Speaker I'd appreciate a referral.

Thanks in advance for helping and supporting me and making my dreams come true. I love you all!

PS Over Thanksgiving we're flying to Atlanta to meet daughter No.3's boyfriend's parents. Isn't life grand?

Oh Tess – I do hope that you are feeling better soon though I also appreciate that every now and again we need that down time to give our bodies and our minds a break – and wow, what creativity can flow.
Thanks for the great links. I am going to go and check them out while I wait for the end of this quiet work day to end.

    Hi Tess,
    Good healing energy to you:)
My friend, I cannot help but think of the mind/body connection and how when your body forced you to rest by shutting itself down..you were quiet enough to allow for your creative juices that have been overflowing to be aknowledged and brought to fruition..I can tell by the above words and your enthusiasm and the authors you mention that you were completely open and the Universe/God flooded that space with things you have probably been resisting for some time..
So..congratulations..may all of your dreams come true–and thank you for sharing because you continue to inspire me! I *love* your tagline and I absolutely *love* the direction you are moving:)
Life is crazy and delightful because we allow it to be and I celebrate every moment with you *grin*
And I’ve signed up for Skype, so when you are up to it, let’s talk:)

Be. Dream. Create. ~ Love that. I’m really up for some of that being and allowing the dreaming and creating to flow. This is exactly the inspiration I needed for today. Thanks. You are my blog superstar.

Tess, what a great motto. Be, dream and create. Sometimes our bodies slow us down so we can regroup on every level. Sounds like you’ve gathered strength and inspiration from your down time. Thank you for the lovely mention. I do tend to over do it in the metaphor department, but hey, somebody’s gotta shop there. Be well.

    Hi Tess,

Sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather. Sending some healing energy and feel free to use it in whatever way best meets your needs. I’m really glad to hear that you chose to honour your body, mind and soul’s need to rest and dream. “Be. Dream. Create.” is a fabulous manifesto and mantra!

Have fun checking out some of those 30 best movies. Some of my all time favourites include “The Secret of Roan Inish”, “Chocolat”, “The Last Mimzy”, “Amal”, “Outsourced”, and “Slumdog Miillionaire”.

Take care and have a restful weekend

This is my first comment and really the first time I’ve read your blog – very nice job. I have a thought for you. We are often presented with different situations and often want to continue doing the same thing. As bloggers, we want to socialize, write, work on our sites, etc. But you let yourself into flow, let the world carry you a little, and what came out of it was unique. It’s like being outside in nature and feeling like you are still in the bustle of the city. Why not grasp onto your present situation to find the unique thoughts and experiences that might come out of them?

Tess! You still shine like the sun, even when you’re feeling under the weather. I really admire that! (Me? I’d be in bed under my comforter the whole time, probably… Taking only those phone calls & emails that promised me soup, cupcakes or Airborne … !)

New Zealand, eh? Wow… But I understand why it’s a trip you’d rather take another time. There will always be another time and the Universe has this thing called “perfect timing.” You know what feels right. (And besides, I’m just so thrilled you’re headed to Rochester on October 23 & 24!)

Sending you big love & speedy healing!

Tess: Hope you are back 100% very soon. I really do like that approach you said you took and you just let things be. I think that is probably some great advice for us all to follow from time to time. I think it is so easy to get caught up in false deadlines and become attached to always doing “something”. However, sometimes the best thing we can do is just be. I really like that advice. Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom.

I’m so glad to hear you’re resting and taking care of yourself, Tess. And creating as opposed to doing – yes! Something wonderful happens when we put aside all that doing and allow ourselves to renew. It opens up so much space for creativity and vision. And your vision sounds awesome. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

A good coach only goes so far. You were willing to really grab your career and run with it. Thanks for being so willing to answer tough questions and try out the ideas I proposed.

I also appreciate the link love. You are always so generous.

I like how you made lemonade out of lemons. Many people feel tired and sick and don’t tap into the fresh perspective that these feelings can bring.

Hope you are feeling better now….I spent hours figuring out health ins. and health care for us – made the decision and had a dissonance/allergic reaction to my decision – testing, testing – I now have the Adrenal Fatigue back…but am still leading several workshops for parenting groups about how to be healthy this fall (still no pay – I am hoping this school district will come up with a working, high speed computer that Librarian Girl can use at her new school, which is too poor for computers – my district office is working on a donation to her district for my efforts – so maybe I have some kind of pay coming in?)

I truly enjoyed your post today and linking through…and your guest writer…
Wow what a mastermind group – you folks are all too busy – no wonder it fell apart..
    Good work Karl…

Tess, I congratulate you for listening to your body and ‘doing nothing’ as some would call it. So many push themselves past limits to the point of no return health wise but you understood and let your body repair. There are many great messages in your post but the highest for me is the surrendering to healing and replenishing when the need arises. I hope you are renewed and newly alive!

    When we are busy doing……
We can not hear the telepathic messages that are spoken to us because our mental static keeps our wishes from coming true.

However, when we let go and retreat into our hearts content….. the world comes to life because it is finally getting through to us.

This is when dreams come true…..when the mental walls come crumbling down.
