Beginning today I will be giving away a free gift to the person who leaves the best comment every Monday. Today’s gift is a copy of my book, “Flying By The Seat of My Soul.” This is not the ebook version!

So how do you make your Mondays more magical? One of the first things I do is tell myself “This is going to be a great day.” The second thing is I become grateful for my health. If I’m not healthy life loses it’s color and becomes a dull gray.

The following are 8 quick Tips for your Magic Mondays:

A Brisk Walk. Take a brisk 10 minutes walk during lunch break. No matter what happens in the mornig this will turn your day around.

Become grateful. While walking reflect on your weekend and really feel appreciation for the activities you did. Even if they didn’t go right be grateful you can learn from life.

Good Food Choices. Begin your day with healthy food. Fruits, nuts and a smoothie or protein drink will enhance your day.

Be of Service. Look for ways you can be helpful to others. When you lift someone else up you’re lifted as well.

Laugh. Look for ways to be funny and laugh. At least smile. Others will smile or laugh back.

Think happy thoughts. “I’m happy to be alive. I’m happy I have choices. I’m happy I can change my mood any minute of the day.” Don’t give your power away.

10 Minutes of Silence. Sit silently for 10 minutes. Especially if you are upset. Listen for any guidance you receive. Be open to any insights through out the day.

Drop Resentments. Call, email or text someone you are in conflict with. Especially if it’s your teenager. Take the weight off your shoulders.

How do you make Mondays magical? Leave your answer below and remember the best will receive a free copy of my book “Flying By The Seat Of My Soul.” Don’t forget to check back on Mondays for more opportunities to receive a free gift!

My Monday’s become magical when I remember to count my blessings. It’s not easy to go to work after a nice weekend, but I remember that I’m lucky to have my job in this economy. If I struggle with someone who isn’t pulling their weight at work, I remember that I am physically and mentally able to work and that God has given me joy despite the circumstances. If I count my blessing throughout the day Monday becomes magical and I float right through.

Mondays are magical for me because they are the beginning of a whole new week. I think of it as an exciting time and use the day to start a new task or brainstorm.

I’m semi-retired and it’s easy to allow one day to flow into the next with no real purpose. I’m not going to let that happen. Mondays are my reason to look forward.

I make Mondays magical by keeping the morning free for me – to write, start slowly, clean house. This is promise I made to myself when I quit the corporate world, and I’m so happy I did. I no longer dread Sunday nights and Monday mornings.

“Be of Service” is my favorite. You elaborated very well to on it ;)
I am services guy – working as a field consultant. and I love it. I also know the feeling of giving helpful advice that gets results. It lifts us both – the customer and me ;)

    Tess,

I love your point about dropping resentments and the specific suggestion to do that by calling someone I’m in conflict with.

Mondays are magical for me when I have to work because I’m grateful for the blessing of work and income, and magical when I don’t have to work because I know others are stuck in offices. Either way I love Mondays!

It’s also pure magic to wake up and realise I’m alive, and that itself is a miracle. Just to breathe and hear the birds sing… life is magic.

    Annie,
You have the secret to life. It’s never as bad as we think it is.

    Cheryl,

I like your idea of beginning a new task on Mondays. I think I’m going to do that.

    Stacey,

You certainly know how to walk your talk. Monday mornings being free is a great way to begin the week.

    Alik,

You coworkers are blessed to have you!

    Wonderful thoughts, Tess.

I’ll be back on Mondays for sure (sorry I missed yesterday, Presidents’ Day Holiday and all. )

I actually quite love Mondays since my darling angel child goes back to school and I get to my “me” time again. So peaceful in my little house and home routine here.

Be of Service. Look for ways you can be helpful to others. When you lift someone else up you’re lifted as well.

Drop Resentments. Call, email or text someone you are in conflict with. Especially if it’s your teenager. Take the weight off your shoulders.

Those two, Tess are just so especially wonderful to me today.

The second one, if only we all could get a little closer to making this our reality. Negative feelings between people serves no good purpose at all.

Boy, I always feel so refreshed after coming here. A wonderful flow of energy. THANKS!

    See you soon.

Just being is another way to attune to magic in your life. It is always there, waiting for you to notice it. As you rediscover what it means to be present, you sense the magic emerges from within.

Tess — Well, I’m really late for this party, but I loved your thoughts about Monday. This isn’t my favorite day of the week. It always brings a certain amount of anxiety with it. Your tips, however, are an excellent way for me to make my Mondays a bit less anxious. Thanks.

I’ve instituted “Me Time Mondays” over here. Things like reading a book, rather than the computer, or using “pampering” skin care items like scrubs on my face and hands, etc. were longed for and always felt like they were put off because I was busy doing stuff for others. So, after a weekend spent being “completely there” for everyone and after the first day of a five day workweek, I take care of me on Monday nights.

Being grateful is one of the best ways to make your life better. I had to force myself at first, but now it’s second nature. I give thanks almost every day.

Hi, Tess. I’m so behind in my blog reading… Look how late I am to this party! :) I don’t care; I’m commenting, anyway.

I used to absolutely DREAD Mondays. Sundays had better be spent at home, just so I could soak up every nnnth of the comfort before heading into “the world.” What a horrible awful icky feeling, to be that needy, that focused on what I didn’t want to happen: a Monday.

Now? Now I just love every single day! Mondays are no different than Saturdays or Wednesdays or birthdays! EVERY day is wonderful, and I awaken to each and every one of them with happiness and joy in my heart. Granted, I might awaken s-l-o-w-l-y on some days and a little achy from creaking bones or a little over-tired from the days before, but I’m always always always happy.
