Secrets Of An Abundant Life with Rhoda Jordan

Today's guest and friend: Rhoda Jordan is a spiritual teacher + writer + speaker. She uses empowering tools, such as meditation + breathwork + movement + yoga, to help people connect with their happiest, healthiest, sexiest selves.

A devoted artist, Rhoda also works as a filmmaker + performer, and co-manages a film production company (Wildlight Films) with her husband.

In our interview, Rhoda and I talk about abundance and her new ecourse called "Your Radically Abundant Life."

What is abundance?

Abundance is what happens when you release. When you release all expectations, all doubts, all fears, all negative emotions, all the things that make you feel stuck.

It’s what happens when you surrender to one of the deepest truths there is: the truth that you lack nothing. That there’s enough to go around. That you are living in a loving universe that is forever on your side, and will always support and nurture you, no matter what.

What’s the biggest secret when it comes to living abundantly?

The biggest thing is to drop any illusions of abundance being something that exists outside of you. Let all of that go. Don’t let that limitation be a part of your life story.

Abundance is already right here. Within. We need to make the choice to feel it, right now, in this moment. Not tomorrow or the next day or…

But how do we start feeling abundant?

The first thing we have to do is find a connection to our bodies again.

We live in a world that is so caught up in placing value on the mind. These days, we think our mind holds the solution to everything. But this isn’t the case.

There’s a wisdom that all of us have — a wisdom that goes much deeper than anything that the mind can come close to conjuring.

There’s body wisdom, heart wisdom, sexual wisdom, soul wisdom, universal wisdom…We have access to all of this, but if there’s too much chatter in the mind, it’ll be hard as hell to hear any of these deeper wisdoms the way they were meant to be heard.

But when we start engaging the body and the breath in a new way — when we start to pay attention to our inner space, and drop our obsession with the superficialities of the space around us — we start feeling ourselves fully. We start feeling powerful, happy, loving, and abundant.

Do people need to do a lot of meditation to get to this powerful, happy, loving, and abundant place?

The simple answer is: YES!

But, um, not in the way that you think…

By meditation, I don’t just mean the classic seated-position-eyes-closed scenario. Because what good is meditation if you’re just going to reserve it for that format?

True meditation lies in your ability to be present and awake and aware in each and every moment that comes. So you can be brushing your teeth, or sitting at your desk, or dancing, or eating, or cooking — and that can be your meditation.

Note that I didn’t say, “You can be meditating at those times.” I actually mean: “The action can be your meditation.”

Staying connected to the moment, not allowing your mind to dominate you, being conscious of your breathing, giving your full and complete attention to each and every conversation and interaction — that is meditation in its purest, most exhilarating form.

Living this way is a true artform. As if by magic, you start attracting all the right people and situations and experiences required for the happy life you were meant to live.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever manifested?

Wow, too many come to mind!

At one point in the past few months, I was working on manifesting $10K. And I’ve actually manifested $10K at THREE different points over a period of 6 weeks.

It sounds a bit unbelievable, even to me! But — it happened!

How were you able to manifest this money?

The biggest thing is my manifestation routine, which I follow every single night. Like clockwork. (Okay, all right, I’ll admit, I’ve skipped maybe two days!) I noticed that the more I attended to my routine, the stronger and more capable my manifesting muscles.

I highly recommend sticking to a daily routine, if you want to start manifesting all of your deepest desires!

So wait a minute, are you saying that these techniques will get me absolutely anything I want???

Good question!

Sometimes we get so caught up in our lives that we lose touch with what’s really important. And we start wanting things that don’t really speak to who we truly are.

So in cases like this, the universe might not give you what you think you need. But just know that if it doesn’t, it will always ultimately deliver something better!

That’s a critical aspect of abundant that many teachers prefer to keep secret, for fear of letting people down. But I doubt it comes as a surprise to you that things won’t always go your way!

As long as you keep your mind clear and stay rooted in your right to a happy, abundant life, you will manifest the things that are truly in alignment with your heart.

Tell us about your new 4-week course!

Well, it's a new course I've created called "Your Radically Abundant Life."

And in 4 weeks, I teach some amazing manifestation tools! I show you exactly how I manifested $10K three times over the course of 6 weeks.

I also teach you how to clear your chakras and use them to boost your abundant vibration and magnetize your dreams to you.

And there's soooo much more. It's a very powerful and effective course that will get you vibrating high and drawing in all the things your heart desires.

How will this course help people?

People who’ve worked with me on raising their money and abundance vibration have seen all kinds of breakthroughs.

They’ve seen more money flow in. They’ve also felt a wild rush of creativity and are deeply in alignment with who they are.

And for people who don't have their own business, there have been lots of breakthroughs. While working with me, people have gotten amazing job offers and unexpected checks in the mail. It's really quite incredible what a little bit of meditation and visualization can do!

Anyone who’s interested can sign up for the course right here:

Please help us share the love by sharing on Twitter and Facebook. Always grateful!

Great questions with clear answers. I so agree with “True meditation lies in your ability to be present and awake and aware in each and every moment that comes.” Yes!!! its all about consciously choosing how you want to use the tool called our mind. Using our mind for conscious awareness is the best way to free ourselves from our false sense of self. I would end with a quote:
“Keep your best wishes, close to your heart and watch what happens”

Thank you Neil! I really love that quote. Magical forces always seem to take over when we keep our dreams close to the heart space. I appreciate you sharing!

What a great interview and wonderful way of life. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences! I like how you said meditation doesn’t have to be relegated to one particular form. Each moment of life can be meditative. YES! I like to believe in the ease of life, rather than the difficulty; I’m not one for ceremony, so appreciated your take on bringing awareness to every moment.

And congratulations on manifesting $30,000 in a 6-week period – way to go!

Megan, thank you so much!

And YES I am so with you. I am all about the ease of life too! I think that sometimes we can strain way too much to make things happen, when we really should be relaxing and opening ourselves up to receiving effortlessly!

This is such a great article! I am so resonated with the message of reconnecting to our bodies. For me it can be difficult to remember to do at times, but if I get in the flow of doing so, powerful things happen and I feel better in myself and being. Thanks for the reminder to keep mindfully connecting to the present. :)

Thank you Rhoda!!! It is so important (although often difficult) to realise that we do indeed lead thoroughly abundant lives. We are often defined by the ‘lack’ in our lives, perhaps because society and the media so often remind us of what we don’t have – but as you say – the truth is that there is so much already here for us.
Mindfulness is an amazing meditation process.
