Passion and Patience vs Doubt and Fear

Passion and patience describes, my friend Farnoosh Brock from Prolific Living. Gary is one person she admires. Watch it and allow it to inspire youapply it to your own life no matter what you do.

When you have doubts, when you want to give up:

Keep your eye on the prize.

Concentrate on it.

See it in your mind’s eye.

Mentally purchase it in your mind.

See it benefiting everyone.

Feel yourself enjoying your dream.

Know that you deserve good stuff.

Open your heart.

Have faith.

Claim it and put your name on it.

Allow your spirit to soar.

Live unrestrained and uninhibited.

Reach out.

Be spontaneous.

Create energy and enthusiasm around it.

Make time for it.

Get in the flow of it.

Continue creating.

Clarify your thinking.

Raise your game.

Replace your thoughts.

Change your story.

Increase your vibration.

Feel the joy.

Set your intention.

Make time.

Do something different.

Meet new people.

See new things.

Seize opportunities.

Believe in a grand vision.

Live your life.

Dig into your passion.

Give it your all.

Create daily.

Work your but off.

Share what you create.

Help others do the same.

Don't let fear stop you. Don't let fear knock you off your path!

Enjoy every minute of everyday.

Pass this on!

Thanks! I needed to see/read this because I had this opportunity for work last night, but I’ve worked with this person/project before and the amount of dread I feel having to make the decision to take the work or not is astounding! The only reason it was so agonizing is because work is slow right now and money is tight, but the ONLY reason I would take it is for the money, and then I would be miserable working on it. I turned the project down and have since seen so many “signs” that I need to not take on things based out of fear. Although I’m not getting paid, it keeps my time free to work towards what I’m really passionate about.

Hi Tonya,

Dread is never a good thing and always a sign you’re going the wrong way. I’m happy this reinforced you made the right decision. I hope you use your freed up time to move forward on something great!

Frequently my challenge is making the clearing in my daily to-do’s to create and work on my passion. Taking care of three little kids, a variety of animals, the house, a job, my husband and myself leaves little time for my passions. But they’re so important to me and, hopefully, to all the people I support and inspire. So I persevere, even when it means regularly staying up until 2am and getting little sleep.

Hi Paige,
Good for you! One thing that helped me was getting my kids and hubs on board. I delegated chores and anything else they could handle so I would have more time. Is there a possibility that you can get help from them. Maybe the children are too young. But if they are at least five I would have them loading the dishwasher, setting the table and anything else they can handle. It makes them responsible and you successful. Keep on keepin’ on!

I saw this video a while back and forced my entire family to watch it. I know, I’m all kinds of fun to live with. :) But, I LOVED Gary V’s book “Crush It” and I am loving his new book “The Thank You Economy.” Such a cool story of a guy who took a subject like wine and made it COOL again. He understands social networking so much, and when he describes it, you think, “Of COURSE! How did I not THINK of that?”

He’s just brilliant! Thanks for sharing this!

Hi Bryan,
You’re funny! I did the same with my kids…sat them down and we all watched motivational stuff together. It was Les Brown when they were in high school!

I’m getting that book to read over the holidays! Thanks for reminding me. And thanks for your support.

Hi Tess,
Thanks for sharing the video- love Gary.
That is a brilliant list you have shared and I will share futher..
Thus is so relevant for me right now as I move on in my healing journey. (Kidneys= fear in Chinese Medicine.:)
Today I am moving into abundance especially in the healing with passion and patience, I am ready to move forward fearlessly just seem to get stopped right now by my body: this is where the patience comes in.
This stood out for me “Share what you create”. On Friday a friend suggested that I shouldn’t be sharing my story and paintings online or even thinking about a book etc. I have since journaled listening to my body and my guides. Also so important to open your heart.
Namaste

Suzie,
I’ll make this short and sweet. Get rid of the toxic friend now!

Add some quotes and/or poetry to your artwork and sell it as an ebook, ecourse etc. Yeah in that way stop giving it all away! Hugs to you and continue on your healing journey!

Thanks for the inspiration Tess.
To answer your question, I get in the way of my dreams. Sometimes my negative self talk gets me off track – thanks for these important reminders when that happens.

Tess,
I believe that I am the one who gets in the way of my dreams. More accurately it is my mind. The mind casts doubts, seeks distractions and manifests fears! We often don’t allow ourselves to succeed simply because we feel that we don’t deserve to. For this reason, I try to forget the mind and follow the heart. Usually, the heart doesn’t lie!

Cheers!

Hi Tess,

Thank you for sharing this video. I think you know how this kind of posts can help me and inspire me to follow my passions and continue doing what I started.
To answer to your question, sometimes the feelings of doubt, fear and uncertainty get in the way of my dreams.
Fortunately, reminders about my goals and dreams keep my focus and my excitement of going.

Thank you.

Tess, thank you for this post.
This year has been about moving through fear and sometimes shaking while doing it – but the only way to live ones dreams is to go through the obstacle course that shows up along the way. Fear happens, things get in the way – but moving forward is always an option.

Sometimes we need reminders like this post, to fuel us and remind us what to focus on, when fear is bigger and louder than the positive visualization.

Just printed this post to have it on my wall as daily reminder
