Great, uplifting song, Tess. I’ve been listening to music all evening and this is the perfect song to end with. I’m trying to live like it’s the time of my life. For me living out loud means connecting, creating, noticing, savoring, the way of joy. But I don’t think I’ll ever fully arrive. I want to be a work in progress!

    Hi Tess,
    What a great song!!

“Taste every moment”: To me, that means that every moment, every experience – it is all part of the journey of our lives. And each of these moments are part of who we are. So, I want to truly experience my life, it’s in letting these moments be fully felt and lived. From the most simple and mundane to the wild and exciting moments – they all are part of “me”.

“Live out loud”: And this means that I’m consciously choosing to live my life the way I choose to, in what matters to me. A question I hear often from others is “what is the next adventure planned for your family?” – and that always brings a smile to my face. Because that is the way we try to live our life – that this is an adventure we are on. And as I continue on in this journey I’m traveling, I just continue to believe even more deeply that life is about the experiences. Big and little ones…and really seeing that every moment is part of that collective experience of my life.

Hi Tess .. thank you – I hadn’t heard of him. Time of my life .. that will come, I’m making the preparations now so the bedrock is ready and then when the time comes .. my mother will know where I’m going – and I can fly like a bird, and she can have angels’ wings, and I can taste each season as the time of my life comes along.

Lovely – no wonder you enjoy your running ..

    Patti,
I don’t listen to music enough. You inspire me and it’s one thing I’m commiting to change right here and now. It will help with my intense personality. Maybe I’ll add dancing to this as well. God do I need balance with that.

I too want to never arrive. What would I do if I did?

    Lance,
One of the reasons I like following you so much is due to the importance and sharing of your family. You bring back plesant memories for me and I just feel joy when that happens. You are a wise man for participating in your family’s life to the 9th degree. I respect and honor that about you. Thanks for the memories, my friend. Do you see why I’ll never stop following? Because you’ll never stop living out loud.

    Hillary,
I can see this time of your life being difficult and beautiful at the same time. When I think of you I’m reminded of that poem about the seasons of life. You are in a season of service and letting go. Don’t discount it as being unimportant (I know you don’t). I also understand that someday you’ll be able to fly because your mother will have her angel wings. You are a strong role model and I’m grateful for your time here on my blog.

    Dani,
That’s why blogging is so fun…we share each others joys. I know you’ve shared many moments of yours with me.

    Hi Tess.
This is the time of my life and I so work on having my ego stop enjoying it.
Oh Tess, our friend Robin wrote a beautiful comment, as she does, about experiencing life and tasting it without preconceived ideas how life should be, how we should live, what we should feel.
THAT is what I really aim for, tasting every moment of life without making it wrong, making me wrong, making other people wrong.
That includes daring to make mistakes and NOT being so upset about them.
That includes connecting with people without judgment and without wanting something in return.
It means doing business in such a way that it adds value to everything.
It means supporting one of my daughters in creating the best life possible and knowing it is alright that we do not know all the answers but that enquiring is enough.
Oh Tess, I just want to be open and trusting, so I can have the time of my life.
Hmm, you unleashed something here, thank you for that and please stay your delightful intense self, you are special and unique and alive and dorky if you like, but above all delightful!
    Hugs Wilma.

Great song, thanks for sharing. Living every moment and out loud means to me that I live in the now for that is the only time there really is and that I do not hide my joy, my being from the view of others or worst from view of myself.
Yes, I am living each moment because this is the time of my life.

You know what Tess, that is such a great title! That title alone made me feel good, and the song was just great!

Yes, let’s live having the time of our life all the time! Why not?

Taste every moment means really living life from the present moment, not from the past or future. Am I living like that now, ha, ha, I’d like to think so. I definitely made leaps and bounds in the last few years and it just keeps getting better. Yeah, in all honesty I am obviously not 100% present yet, tasting every drop of life, but close. And that feels really, really good!

Hi Tess! GREAT choice of song! To me, taste every moment and live it out loud means chuck your fears, inhibitions, and whatever has held you back and go fearlessly and travel lightly in the direction of your heart. Sure live present moment, but it’s HOW you do that that determines if you are living out loud. Took me long enough but I’m there!

Absolutely!!! What I love about the song title is it’s indisputable. It will be over at some point, but until then, this is the time of my life, like it or not.

Great questions. Tasting every moment for me means feeling the sweet, the bitter, the fear and the pain and knowing that they’re inextricably linked. Living out loud means being awake to what life offers and what a gift it is to be alive. And that hey, we’re all in this together and that’s a beautiful thing.

Ah, as for me living the time of my life, I want to and I do my best. And getting better everyday…

I heard this song several times but never actually listened to its words, not even sure why. English is my second language, I guess that’s why. Wow, it is awesome! I love it, thank you for sharing Tess!
Living out loud means to me not being afraid of my greatness, not settling for mediocrity, for less than what I can do and be. I am learning to fully embrace it now and I think I am really close to being able to say with 100% certainty that I live out loud.

Boy this whole song is potent and so aligned with what all of us talk about in our community: recognizing that everything we want is already within us. We are what we seek.

I loved the first few lines of the song — letting go of the rainbow on the horizon, and giving into love. It’s like David sang this song JUST FOR ME! (smile) (“Dream on, Megan.” I know, I know.)

I loved it – hadn’t heard it before today, and I can see why you run to it. Thanks, Tess! Reading your blog, and those of our great contemporaries, comprises the time of MY life!

I do believe that I’m enjoying most moments. The thing is I’m not living it out loud. My fear does kick in and I give in to it. I’m working on listening to my fear then giving it a big hug while doing what makes me happy.

Practice is the only way we can overcome fear. By dipping out toe, leg then throwing our whole body in we realize that fear is all in our heads.

    Wilma,
Count me in with you and Robin and “making nothing and no one wrong.” Can’t thing of a more peaceful way to live. On an index card on my kitchen window sill I have written, “It is what it is and it’s all good.” OK I’ll take the delightful it even sounds better than dorky. But “delightful dork” sound like a big grin;)

    Jodi,
Yes it is…the time of our life, this moment, now and I’ll make my time happy!
    Thanks for being you Jodi.

    Mark,
I’m all for not hiding the worst about myself…now someone will probably see it today because I wrote that! Hey but that’s me the good, the smart and the hidden!

    Evita,
I like to think I’m tasting every drop of life as well. Drops of fun, fear, passion and juicy boldness. Like my daughter says to my grandson…Yum-yum.

    Suzen,
I wish you were my next door neighbor. I’m following you fearlessly, lightly and I’ll add boldy in the direction of my heart. Please move next door. Do you golf?

    Belinda,
Yes we are in this together and yes it’s a beautiful thing indeed. I love that part.

Lana oh that’s why we’ve connected, two people living out loud making the world a better place. Yes to that!

    Megan,
You are so real! I’m glad you like the song. I love American Idol and watch nearly every episode. My favorite is when they get to the final 20! I loved when David won. Some times when they get voted off I cry like it’s my kid. LOL I thought I’d be as real as you with this info Megan. xo

    Karl,
I’m just like that as well. Too often I allow my fear to get in the way…I procrastinate. When I’m really believing this is the time of my life I go for it.

I like this song too and will often sing along in my car when it comes on the radio.

I think I’m living out loud and tasting every moment, for the most part. I concur with a lot of what Wilma has mentioned and would add that living a life without fear goes a long way toward remaining open to opportunities and joy when it comes along. The ability to trust, not others so much as myself, that no matter what happens, I’ll be okay is key to embracing life fully.

I’d also have to say that the experience of living includes all of me, in my wholeness, and that sometimes means descending into heartache and pain from time to time. A life fully lived is not comprised only of “good” days, but is a messy myriad of emotions & experiences. The trick is in only staying down long enough to push off from the bottom and rise to the top again, buoyed up by gratitude.

    Blessings,
    Carolynn

‘Taste every moment and live it out loud’ is for me being able to see the wholesome ‘what is so’ about myself, other people and everyday situations. To stop the mindless chit chat in my head, know that I am enough and listen to my heart, to go beyond my ego and not deny myself or others our God given right to have the best time ever while we’re on this earth.
And boy oh boy that’ll take some accomplishment so for now I’m paying attention to the journey – every single moment!
Tess keep doing what you are doing, keep shining the light that focuses us inwards towards our heart self. You rock! xx

    Hi Tess,
What a great song to run to!
“Taste Every Moment”–to be mindfully present to the moment exactly as it is without allowing our expectations or past experiences to color it in any way. If it is sad, then feel sad, if it is glorious then feel glorious. Then move on to the next moment. Let it all resonate within and let the momentum move you forward.

“Live it Out Loud” –express it in your own individual unique way. Through your facial expressions, body language, attire, choices, however it is you wish to ‘live’: art, words, something tangible, something intangible. Put your stamp on it.

Yes, I am living like *this* is the time of my life because it truly is. Every step I take, God carries, the Universe meets and it all unfolds in such a beautiful manner when I am most open and mindful; and still a beautiful manner even if I’m closed and harried–I just can’t see it:).

    Life is truly precious indeed:)
    Much peace…..

Absolutely, living is about the mess as well as success. In fact we can’t reach success until we’ve dealt with our messes. Like you I agree we have peaks and valleys. Valleys are normal…we just can’t set up camp there!
