When you talked about length, I thought it was going to be an hour or something. That was 5 minutes well spent. Thank you so much for sharing.

    Patricia,
It did mine too. I’m so used to being grateful for the same stuff. This shows me how unaware I really am!

    Caity,
I think I’ll go edit that statement, it may keep people away!

That was such a beautiful video. I played it full-screen and found myself watching it in awe, smiling, and let it fill my heart. The crocuses in early spring, the johnny jump-ups, the gorgeous faces… I loved every second of that video. Thank you!
And I’m bookmarking Jamie’s blog because any friend or recommendation of yours, Tess, is one of mine.

This video is totally awesome, and I can relate to it so well. I consciously work to be AWARE each day, to notice all the little things that in the end, are the really important things. I love all the beautiful pictures of nature in this video. Being out in nature like that..well, to me it is like my church.

Thanks Tess, for this wonderful reminder of how much we have to be truly grateful for. I am certainly grateful to have “met” you and am more blessed because of it.

This is such a beautiful video – simply awesome! Love that he keeps asking us to open our eyes and our hearts …. to soak in the beauty and love that is all around us. Looking at the video, I truly feel the wonder and the abundance which is all around us. Kind of makes me feel like bowing down my head to thank god and raising it to take in and experience everything at the same time. Thank you for sharing it.

This video show every day things and yet how extraordinary beautiful they are.
I am so relearning how to live and I so appreciating all these reminders and I am so appreciative of noticing that there are quite a few of us starting to realize there is another way to live, one that let us enjoy these gifts.

Tess, what a gift you have given us with this incredible video. How blessed we are to have running water. I know millions do not, yet I take this for granted. When I look at my life, I am surrounded by beauty and people that love me. I have a nice car and home. Yet what is the meaning of “things”? This video makes me pause. This tells me to stop being so concerned with the “must haves.” Life is short…and it about sharing gratitude, love, light and compassion with our fellow spirits on this earth. Thank you for this today…I really needed to watch this.

My Day Off has been emotional n contemplative, but I appreciated all of it, because I chose what I was to do. It’s interesting I recently posted in “Filed Sky” : “Sometimes, you just need to look up…”

    Hi Tess,

I’m so happy you stressed we watch this video. It was indeed an eyeopener. Not only were the photographs gorgeous, but the message is clear. Today is definitely a gift. A gift we unwrap from the moment we open our eyes. And if we’re lucky, tomorrow we’ll receive a new gift.

This is a great reminder how living in the moment and enjoying all we are truly blessed with is what’s important.

Thank you Tess for this beautiful gift. I know I’ll be back to watch it again.

ohmygosh, I didn’t get past minute 1:01 before the emotion spilled over… This message is *exactly* how I feel! …and I feel it most when looking at Nature’s beauty as these images show us to do. Then, when we carry that full-of-love feeling into our views of other people, other lives, other ways… We are giving the gift of love and receiving it at the same time. We all are SO blessed!! Thank you for sharing this, Tess. It’s like drinking cool water from a fountain in the middle of a desert. I will revisit.

Beautiful! My favourite part? – that wee girl’s bright brown eyes. So many of us in the west have so much, yet find it so difficult to radiate as much joy as that girl does in a single glance.

The advice “Live every day as if it is the first.” puts every relationship problem into perspective. We’d be so much kinder about our loved ones’ behaviour if it didn’t act like a wick that taps into deep underground wells of rising frustration, resentment or anxiety.
